80's Vintage Purple Hartnell Silk Jacket Uk 14- 16 

A striking example of 1980s couture from the venerable House of Hartnell, this purple silk jacket embodies the refined elegance associated with royal patronage and bespoke dressmaking. The tailored fit accentuates the wearer's silhouette with precision, whilst the lustrous silk fabric. Hartnell's meticulous construction techniques ensure longevity and timeless appeal. He was appointed dressmaker to the Royal Family. He made Elizabeth II’s wedding dress and, in 1953, her spectacular coronation gown. The black velvet collar is in contrast to the royal purple silk. Closing with 3 large diamante buttons with packets on the front. There is a slit at the back. Measures: 46 across the shoulders, 56 cm across the bust, 50 cm across the waist, 81 cm long.
